Touschek lifetime versus product of the emittances and energy spread for 1 and 10 nC bunches with κ = 0.01 and κ = 1.00, assuming the use of a bunch-lengthening cavity to stretch the bunch to [\sigma_z] = 12 mm. Roughly speaking, low values of [\varepsilon_x\varepsilon_y\sigma_\delta] correspond to higher X-ray brightness.
