In vivo optical imaging results. Fluorescence intensity maps of the same asthmatic mouse used for fXPCT (Fig. 3[link]) before (pre), directly after (T0) and 24 h after (T24) i.t. instillation of 6 × 106 barium-sulfate-filled and DiD-labelled MΦ are shown. After 24 h, strong fluorescence signals expressed in normalized counts (NC) are visible over the lung area.
