Potential versus time plots for the Pb anode in (a) standard ex situ BioLogic flat cell in conventional laboratory and (b) the EFC used for the in situ synchrotron experiments. While the scans are relatively comparable, there will be differences due to the electrolyte not being pumped through the system in (a) and it being pumped through the EFC in (b). Differences in the cell and counter electrode geometry could also be factors. The plots in (c) and (d) are simply galvanostatic and power interruption/OCP segments graphed together for comparative purposes. The pulses that are evident in (c) are due to a pump that was pushing the heated electrolyte through the system. |
