Experimental arrangement for roll angular alignment of the M2 and M4 mirrors. The ZYGOTM GPI interferogram from the M4 mirror corresponds to a slight tangential tilt and absence of roll angular misalignment of the mirror with respect to the interferometer wavefront. The curved shape of the fringes is a signature of the anticlastic bending of the M4 mirror substrate. The M4 surface interferogram suggests perfect roll angular alignment but a tangential tilt of the mirror. Note that the M2 mirror fringes are significantly less curved due to the relatively smaller desired curvature, compared with that of the M4 mirror. |
