Co-registered slices for the Wistar rat pelvis (upper row) and DEXA results (lower row). The grey scales represent $[\mu =]$ 0–1.6 cm^-1 (35 keV), $[\mu =]$ 0–0.6 cm^-1 (60 keV), N_e = 0.1–1.0 mol cm^-3 and R₄ = 5.5–13.5. The tail is folded along the abdomen and appears near 12 o'clock.
