Schematic for simultaneous collection of photon-in photon-out and forward-scattering signals. The dispersive von Hamos XES spectrometer focuses the spectrum on a two-dimensional detector placed above the intersection point and the Rowland XES spectrometer can be tuned to collect different emission lines concurrently while obtaining data from a complementary scattering technique.
