Variation of Stokes–Poincaré parameter P3 with phasing unit gap for (a) left and (b) right circular polarized light. The small difference in measured intensity of LC and RC light is due to a slight inaccuracy in the undulator calibration polynomials which determine the gaps and row phases for each energy and polarization state (easily accounted for in experiments because the photon flux monitor is used for normalization).
