Calculated and experimental flux distributions for the four SCMPW fields considered (1.40, 2.00, 3.00 and 4.00 T). The former have been calculated from first principles using spec.exe (Stevenson et al., 2017BB51) and the latter are as a result of the least-squares refinements of the experimental data, i.e. they are the spectra described by the parameter values given in Table 1[link]. Further details are provided in the text.
