For both plots, the x-axis shows the number of photons in each dark frame (representing the detector noise); on the y-axis the number of occurrences of each value in that dataset is found. The correction for a per-ASIC offset is displayed in blue; that for per-column per-ASIC offset is depicted in red. The inset in the right-hand figure shows a larger tail for the per-ASIC offset correction.
