The point spread function as a function of energy bandwidth resulting from (a) FrFT simulations and (b) closed expressions from geometrical optics. For each bandwidth, the intensity is shown as a function of position in the image plane. The color represents the intensity on an absolute scale. Hence, the increase in the intensity at the central position with larger bandwidth reflects an increase in incoming photon flux. The black lines are the 25%, 50% and 75% relative intensity lines.
