Rocking curves of individual quartz(309) and sapphire(078) crystals recorded at low incident power using the setup shown schematically in the inset. Simulated curves (solid red lines) are included for comparison. All crystals tested were within 10% of the expected FWHM, although tails deviate somewhat from the simulation.
