Dynamic measurement of the vertical size of the X-ray beam as a function of time as it was defocused by applying +500 V (at t = 0) to all piezos of I24's vertical micro-focus bimorph mirror. Each curve shows the size of the X-ray beam with the high-voltage power supply operating in a different mode. Such results clearly indicate that the YAG scintillator/CCD camera can adequately resolve dynamic changes in the X-ray beam size. Such images of dynamic focusing are directly comparable with those captured by the Fizeau interferometer in Fig. 1[link].
