Reconstructed image of the [0kl] zone axis of KNbOB2O5. The very strong main reflections correspond to the underlying substructure. Comparison with Fig. 1[link] shows that only every second reflection is present along b*, i.e. reflections with 0kl, k ≠ 2n (or 0klm, m ≠ 2n) are systematically extinct (b* up the page).
