Scattered X-ray intensity for phase (e) at T = 542 K and (f) at T = 640 K for MgOHCl·nH2O, 0.0 ≤ x ≤ 1.0, and MgCl2 (simulated) as a function of diffraction angle 2θ. The wavelength was λ = 0.92187 Å. The simulated powder pattern of MgCl2 was calculated using FullProf with ICSD database 86439 (Partin & O'Keeffe, 1991BB20).
