Schematic three-component TX phase diagram for 2,3-tetralindiol drawn primarily from the data of Lettré & Lerch (1952BB25); schematic TX diagrams for each pair of components are also shown. The temperatures given are the highest values for each phase (see Table 1[link]). The area corresponding to the phase containing both the cis and trans isomers is darkened. The two-component diagrams for the cis and enantiomerically pure components have been simplified; Lettré & Lerch (1952BB25) indicate (see their Fig. 3[link]) that in the nominal 1:1 phase of cis and R,R- (or S,S-) trans isomers some of the trans molecules may be replaced by cis molecules.
