The polyhedra around (a) Dy1 and (b) Dy2 with a periodic axis in the vertical direction (length of one period is indicated). Both polyhedra are very similar to the ideal CN 16 polyhedra (c). Color coding for the atoms is the same as in the previous figures. In (a) arrows indicate the Zn—Zn distance of 1.89 Å which is too short (explanation given in the text). In (b) the label refers to the number of the sub-OD that the atom is generated from and atoms with the same sub-OD number are refined as half occupied split positions.
