Estimation of signal size. The expected Bijvoet diffraction ratio r.m.s.(ΔF^±)/r.m.s.(|F|) ≃ (N_A/2N_T)_1/2(2 $[f''_{A}]$ /Z_eff). The expected dispersive ration r.m.s.(ΔF_Δλ)/r.m.s.(|F|) ≃ (N_A/2N_T)_1/2[ $[f''_{A}]$ (λ_i) − $[f''_{A}]$ (λ_j)|]/Z_eff). N_A is the number of anomalous scatterers, N_T the total number of atoms in the structure and Z_eff is the normal scattering power for all atoms (6.7 e⁻ at 2θ = 0).
