Figure 5 The RNA subsystem of the PA-Sm1 complex has the same architecture as the binding protein. The RNA envelope has a radius scaled by the heptagrammal factor = 0.8629 with respect to re, as is the unit length u' with respect to u. There are two binding sites. The outer one, with radius = 8u', occupies the enlarged space between the two heptameric rings. The inner binding site has radius and a central hole in a heptagrammal scaling relation with the envelope. The remaining structural parameters are multiples of u', as indicated.
