Analysis found: C 79.06, H 5.60, N 7.35%; C37H31N3O2 requires: C 80.87, H 5.64, N 7.65%. 1H-NMR (CDCl3, δ p.p.m., J Hz): 2.30 (s, 3H), 3.75 (s, 3H), 4.40, 4.55 (2d, 2H, J = 16.35), 5.30 (s, 1H), 6.50–7.65 (m, 21H), 8.05 (dd, 1H, J1 = 7.85 and J2 = 1.25). 13C-NMR (CDCl3): 21.40 (CH3), 50.40 (NCH2), 55.25 (OCH3), 63.70 (CH), 91.40 (C5:3'), 126.10, 129.10, 129.65, 138.30, 140.85, 144.35, 147.70, 148.05, 159.30, 113.55, 113.65, 115.45, 120.30, 121.65, 121.95, 125.90, 128.00, 128.15, 128.35, 128.85, 132.15, 134.65; 195.20 (CO).
