Temperature characteristics of a CP100 dry Dewar: (a) shows the long-term thermal stability of the Dewar and the existence of a temperature gradient within the Dewar, and (b) shows the temperature change when standard vials (black continuous line), kryo-vials (red dashed line) and pucks (blue dotted line) are removed from the dry Dewar at t2 = 0. The vials were returned to the Dewar after 110 s and the pucks after 155 s.
