Analysis of heat flow versus temperature data to calculate Tg, Td and Tm for Hampton Screen I sample No. 4, with 25% (v/v) glycerol. Endothermic events produce peaks above the baseline and exothermic events produce peaks below the baseline. The glass transition, Tg, is followed by an exothermic devitrification peak, Td, at about 163 K and an endothermic peak, Tm, at 241 K. Tg was determined by calculating the intersection of tangent lines of the baseline before and after the slope change of heat flow versus temperature (see inset).
