(a)–(c) Two-dimensional slices of (hk1) and (hk[\overline 1]), (hk2) and hk[\overline 2]), and (hk3) and (hk[\overline 3]) using c = 4.1 Å from our experimental RED data. Two layers of each are combined and shown together. The white reflections correspond to hkl, while yellow corresponds to hk[\overline l] layers. Notice the presence of many rings of ten strong reflections, typical of tenfold quasicrystals and their approximants.
