Summary of the scattering formalism, which considers a periodic lattice of Nn unit cells, each containing Nj arbitrary nano-objects. The model enables adjustment of a variety of structural parameters, as well as inclusion of certain kinds of disorder relevant to self-assembled nano-materials. The model allows computation of the scattering intensity, I(q), or the structure factor, S(q). Intermediate calculations involve the lattice factor, Z0(q), the particle form factors, [F_j({\bf q})], and the spherically averaged form factor squared, Pj(q).
