The identity of the crystallized protein in the article by Juneja et al. [(2014), Acta Cryst. F70, 260–262] is corrected.
Keywords: corrigendum; C-type lectin domain; spicule matrix protein SM50; Strongylocentrotus purpuratus; chloramphenicol acetyltransferase.
In the article by Juneja et al. (2014), the protein we crystallized was wrongly assumed to be C-type lectin domain of SM50, expressed as a fusion protein with a SUMO tag. We recently found by that the crystallized protein may in reality be chloramphenicol acetyltransferase, and confirmed this by and refinement.
