All modeled samples were infinitely thick (μt ≫ 1) and had a voxel edge length of 5 × 10−3. The solid lines through the data points serve as a guide to the eye. The lateral distribution of material heavily influences the resulting absorption corrections. While the rough surfaces show minimal corrections, the wavy surfaces exhibit a strong angular dependency and a significantly larger deviation from unity. |
