Comparison between analytical (solid line) and simulated (dots) absorption corrections Ca for three different measurement geometries for a flat, homogeneous and compact sample: (a) α scans at constant 2θ, (b) symmetric measurement with α = β = θ on samples with variable thickness μt and (c) 2θ scans at constant α. If not specified otherwise, the simulated models were infinitely thick (μt ≫ 1). The simulations reproduce the analytical results for all three geometries.
