Comparison of experimental reflection profiles on (a) even h and (b) odd h rods with low (2, 1) and high (12, 11) h values, showing splitting of the MDO1 `reflections' for high h values resulting in characteristic triple and double peaks, respectively. In all cases, k = 2. The high-h intensities were scaled by a factor of 3 to bring them to a similar scale as the low-h intensities.
