Note the pairing (via partial π–π overlap) of the benzofuran units around inversion centres at ( $[{1\over 2}]$ , 0, $[{1\over 2}]$ ), as well as the intermolecular hydrogen bonding (intra- and intermolecular hydrogen bonds are denoted by dashed lines) in the (10 $[\overline{1}]$ ) plane of the crystal. H atoms have been omitted for clarity.
