Part of the crystal structure of (II)[link], showing the formation of a chain of rings parallel to [010] built from a combination of C—H⋯O and C—H⋯π(thienyl) hydrogen bonds. The [010] direction is vertical and the chain is viewed approximately along [100]. For the sake of clarity, the unit-cell outline and H atoms bonded to C atoms which are not involved in the motifs shown have been omitted. S atoms marked with an asterisk (*), a dollar sign ($) or an ampersand (&) are at the symmetry positions ([{3\over 2}] − x, [{1\over 2}] + y, z), (x, 1 + y, z) and ([{3\over 2}] − x, −[{1\over 2}] + y, z), respectively.
