Comparison of the similar structural motif in the two new bis­muthides under discussion. (a) In Rh6Mn5Bi18, the motif consists of Bi2, Bi3, Mn2, Mn3 and Rh1 atoms. (b) In RhMnBi3, all distinct atom positions listed in Table 4[link] are included, and the motif is repeated infinitely forming two-dimensional layers (cf. Fig. 3[link]). The colour coding is as in Fig. 1[link].
