Examples of form factors for monodisperse helical ribbons calculated using equation (20) with parameter radius R (Å), ribbon width w (Å), scattering density ρ = 1 (arbitrary units) and helix angle ψ = 27°, and with the integral in equation (17) with m = 10. The case R = 200 Å, w = 326 Å, ψ = 27° corresponds approximately to nanotubes (full wrapping) since under these conditions δp = 2πR tan2ψ (Fig. 9[link]). Data sets have been rescaled and shifted for comparison and ease of visualization.
