The first page of space-group drawings (Sohncke's groups Nos. 1–12) at the end of Sohncke's 1879 book. Each drawing has been marked in red with the ITA space-group symbol. Sohncke intended all circles drawn to be related by the elements of the symmetry group (including translations). He used shading to indicate height above the plane of the drawing.
