Two X-ray scattering curves taken from Walter et al. (2003View full citation) with the model function from equation (34)[link]. There is a power law at the smallest q, then a correlation peak at q ≃ 0.1 nm−1 and then a power law from the porous material over many length scales. Only the atomistic length scales are not covered by the current model. In this figure, the exponent α = 1 + n is explicitly given. The peak parameters of the different model curves are (green) k0 = 0.085 nm−1 and ξ = 60 nm, and (red) k0 = 0.108 nm−1 and ξ = 21 nm. Typical errors in the parameters are about ±10%.
