The three principal axes of the imaging coordinate system (i.e. corresponding reciprocal space axes) are defined as ( $[\hat{q}_{\rm {rock}^{\prime}}]$ , $[\hat{q}_{\rm {roll}}]$ , $[\hat{q}_{2\theta}]$ ), where $[\hat{q}_{2\theta}]$ corresponds to the longitudinal (axial strain) direction.
