Volcano plot for the proteins quantified by EPDR1FLAG immunoprecipitation–mass spectrometry (IP-MS). LFQ intensity values for EPDR1 (depicted as a red circle) and six other proteins (blue circles) increased in anti-FLAG IP-MS over control IP-MS (>10-fold, p < 0.05 after Student's t-test). To calculate the statistical significance, LFQ intensity values for proteins that were not quantified in control IP-MS were replaced by random numbers drawn from a normal distribution (width, 0.3; down shift, 1.8) using Perseus. The protein-identification score determined by MaxQuant was applied to filter out proteins that are likely to be false-positive interactors.
