The reciprocal-space window is responsible for the smoothness of FSC and mFSC curves. Red: FSC curve, shell width one Fourier pixel. Light blue: mFSC, σg = 1. Dark blue: mFSC, σg = 3. All three curves coincide, so for the purpose of illustrating their shape they were shifted along the x axis by five pixels with respect to each other.
