Evolution of the ratio of the satellite structure factors over the main Bragg peak ones as a function of the scalar product Qper cos(Uper, Qper) for the natural (left) and synthetic quasicrystals [right, extracted from Menguy et al. (1993BB44b)]. In both cases there is a clear linear dependency. The slope is almost identical in both cases, indicating that the amplitudes of the modulation polarizations are similar.
