Problems in the simulation of dark-field images in X-ray topography and electron microscopy

The simulation of an image gives the values of the intensity on the exit surface of the crystal; difficulties arise in the representation because the corresponding luminance is not known. This explains the difference between the densitometric responses of the real and the simulated photographs.
