Anharmonic contributions to Bragg diffraction. I. Copper and aluminium

Anharmonic contributions to the atomic motion in copper and aluminium single crystals have been deter- mined from measurements of the elastic scattering of recoil-less γ-rays at temperatures up to 1200 K for copper and 900 K for aluminium. The results are compared with theoretical predictions.
