The carbonyl group in the α,β-unsaturated ketone system of the title compound, C₁₉H₁₃ClO, is in an s-cis conformation. The naphthyl ring is twisted with respect to the phenyl ring by 27.68 (5)°. The naphthoxyl group is trans to the chlorophenyl group.
