The crystal structure of sodium cholate ethanolate, Na⁺.C₂₄H₃₉O₅^-.C₂H₆O, recrystallized from absolute ethanol by slow evaporation, has been determined. This structure is the first report of a sodium cholate structure solely solvated by an organic molecule.
