The title complex, C₁₂H₄N₄.C₁₂H₁₀N₆, is the association of a molecule of abpt with TCNQ, where the abpt molecule is slightly twisted and presents two intramolecular N—H

N bonds. The TCNQ:abpt molecules are parallel to the c axis and form molecular planes parallel to the (001) planes.
