Both the title structures, C22H27NO5 and C21H25NO5, exhibit similar conformations, as shown by a least-squares fit of the atoms common to both. The oxazolidine ring is intermediate between envelope and twist forms, with a slight dominance of the envelope in the former but the twist in the latter. Part of the oxazolidine ring of the former, however, shows high displacement parameters.
