The crystal structure determination of the title compound, C₂₄H₃₂O₇, a second isomer of the natural 2,5-bisaryltetrahydrofuran lignans, reveals that the molecule adopts an αββα configuration. The tetrahydrofuran ring is in an intermediate conformation between half-chair and envelope.
