The structures of 2-(4-methoxyphenyl)-6,8-dimethylimidazo[1,2-a][1,8]naphthyridine, (V), and 2-(4-methoxyphenyl)-6-methyl-8-phenylimidazo[1,2-a][1,8]naphthyridine, (VI), are reported. Two molecules of (V) are present in the asymmetric unit and they exist as dimers connected by C-H
N hydrogen bonds. In (VI) the imidazonaphthyridine moiety and the methoxyphenyl group lie in one plane with which the 8-phenyl makes an angle of 22.35 (5)°. Molecules of (VI) also form dimeric pairs connected by C-H
N bonds around the inversion centres.
