The crystal structure of (Bu₄N)₂[VO₂(C₄H₆O₃)]₂.2H₂O consists of the dimeric [{VO₂(C₄H₆O₃)}₂]^2- anion with C_i symmetry, two Bu₄N⁺ cations and two water molecules. The V atom is pentacoordinated by O atoms in a tetragonal-pyramidal arrangement.
