The V atom in the title compound, Na[VO(C10H15N2O6)].3H2O, adopts a distorted octahedral structure. The strong trans influence of the vanadyl oxo atom [V-O = 1.606 (1) Å] is obvious in the V-N distances, i.e. 2.301 (2) Å for the position trans to the oxo ligand and 2.142 (2) Å for the position cis.
