The title compound, C₁₉H₂₈O₂, has the configuration of a 5 epimer with an epoxy O atom at 3,4. The asymmetric unit contains two molecules with almost identical geometry. Cohesion of the crystal can be attributed to weak intermolecular C-H

O and van der Waals interactions.
