Average standard deviation on the number of counts per channel in SPC ( $[\sigma_{N}]$ ) and ToT ( $[\sigma_{W}/\lambda]$ ) mode measured using Ag fluorescence radiation (22 keV) with standard settings and threshold set at half of the X-ray energy as a function of the number of counts N. The number of counts has been changed by changing the acquisition time.
