The L-curve of the second iteration of tuning after the mirror was applied with voltages given by Tikhonov regularization, on a linear scale. The diamond shows the point of maximum curvature (when plotted on a log–log scale as in Fig. 4[link]), which is very close to the right-hand end of the curve. Five different regularization parameters (with decreased residual norms) along the L-curve were chosen with the corresponding voltages given in Fig. 7[link].
